We are a chapter of FMCA, the Family Motor Coach Association, chartered in 2007. We serve Country Coach motorhome owners in the Pacific Northwest including the western provinces of Canada and also Alaska who also belong to FMCA. We host chapter rallies from February through Thanksgiving each year and try to have at least one chapter, Northwest Area or National event each month in various locations proximate to our members (see right sidebar for current rally calendar).
Membership in our chapter requires ownership of a Country Coach Motorhome and a current membership in FMCA. Owning a Country Coach is not required to maintain membership in the chapter.
Our membership averages about 40 - 50 members a year ranging from retired full timers to young working families. We are a very social group and enjoy getting together almost every month. We host a variety of events all year including weekend coach gatherings, walk in socials in members homes and club rallies (3 to 5 day events). We also are active with FMCA volunteering as a chapter at FMCA Conventions and Regional Rallies.
We publish a monthly Newsletter that is sent to our membership via Email and to an extended group of interested individuals and companies. We also maintain a Service Directory of companies in the Pacific Northwest who are knowledgeable about Country Coaches and have been referred by our members. The Service Directory is posted on our web site and is listed in every Newsletter.
Our chapter rally attendance ranges from just a few coaches to as many as thirty averaging about 8 to 12 for each rally. Most of our rallies are very casual and affordable. Individual members host each rally so each rally has its own flare. Meals range from pot luck, to host catered, to professional catering to going out to dinner as a group. We try to hold our area in areas that offer a variety on interesting activities in the area and schedule the rally events so that you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy the area.
Our rallies are open to anyone interested in joining us. FMCA membership is not required to come to our rallies. Campers, fifth wheel RVs and travel trailers are also welcome.
"Why join your chapter if I can come to the rallies anyway?" you ask. Non-members pay an additional fee to attend our rallies because our chapter dues help defray the costs of each rally.
